Gadouras project

The National Centre for Marine Research (NCMR) has undertaken the materialisation of a project entitled "Assessment and monitoring of the population state of the fish gizani, during the construction of the Gadouras dam in Rhodes Island".

The Greek Ministry of Environment, Physical Planning and Public Works has funded this project (by 100%). The total cost is 78,973 Euro.

The duration of the project is 48 months, starting on December 2001.

Scientists from the Institute of Inland Waters and the Hydrobiological Station of Rhodes of NCMR, in collaboration with scientific experts from Universities of Greece and other countries, are participating in the project to fulfil its tasks.
